This massive park spans over active and inactive volcanoes, through dense rain forest and right down to the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Start your trip at the Kilauea Visitors Center, where helpful hosts and maps can aid you in picking your way through the roads and trails of this massive park. Popular destinations in the park include the 11-mile long Crater Rim Drive, the lava flows of Kilauea Volcano and the ancient Pu`uloa Petroglyph Fields. The park sits on the southeastern side of the Big Island, about 30 miles away from Hilo.
